"For us, sustainability means designing, and consequently creating, a product that lasts over time while maintaining the same charm and quality. We achieve this by choosing fine, vegetable-tanned leathers,"
says Marietta, the brand owner and commercial manager.
For over 150 years
Founded as a haberdashery over 150 years ago, IDEM enhances its designs with original vintage buttons, handed down through generations by Gaspare Tramontano, Marietta and Ciccio's uncle, and Nicole's great-uncle.
"Our product is designed to last and to be current. It's fortunate that succeeding generations are able to carry on the IDEM project with modernity and relevance, while preserving the ancient tradition,"
explains Ciccio, the brand's creative director.

For the creation of the bright green AIDA shoulder bag, the buttons inherited from the family tradition were hand-stitched, making the final design precious.
Another true masterpiece is PIERA BABY, decorated with jeweled buttons applied to soft pink leather and ready to add a special touch to your days or evenings.
Like Mother, Like Daughter
The youngest to enter the daily management of the brand is Nicole, who, after graduating in fashion design, works alongside her uncle Ciccio on creative projects and the production process.
"My mother nursed me in the shop, so I believe that, having lived in this world practically since birth, there wasn't a moment when I became passionate about it; it's something I've always had within me,"
explains Nicole.
